Natural Dry Shampoo

When I’m on the road and living in my truck camper, a dry shampoo is absolutely necessary. Although I have an outdoor shower I typically wash my hair every couple days, or splurge on a campsite and have a full hot shower.

The one non-negotiable for me is no aerosel products.

Although I have tried the homemade dry shampoos. Back in 2014, I tried the no-poo method, ACV rinse and going a week without washing my hair - but it just isn’t for me and my hair. My hair is fine, so it dries quickly, and my habit is showering every evening, every other washing it but at least rinsing it with water and giving my scalp a little massage. Always oiling the ends first though!

But when I’m on the road in my truck camper, this isn’t possible. Although I have an outdoor shower I typically wash my hair every couple days, or splurge on a campsite and have a full hot shower.

In late 2022, a report came out about dry shampoos having cancer-causing chemicals, even brands that claimed to be all-natural. According to this Times article Popular Dry Shampoos Found to Have Cancer-Causing Chemical

How can large companies and brands with seemingly endless budgets allow this … (anyway, before I go on and on)
