Posting online with Purpose in 2024

As a small business, artist or entrepreneur navigating social media on a good day can be hard, but continually posting and showing up is difficult.

UNTIL… you are more intentional.

3 ways to become more intentional with posts because I believe one well made, thought out post can be more effective than posting 10 unintentional posts just to keep up

  1. Brainstorming session

Writing down ideas, values, stories, struggles and overcoming, how you got there, words you would speak to a potential client, how you would speak to a friend about your business, or if you were at a meet and greet explaining what you do.

Ideas can happen at anytime and writing them down in notes or other app you use on your phone is perfect for when they pop into your mind.

2. Creating a stock of Visuals

Depending on who you are as a business or entrepreneur you can create a place to keep photos and videos to share online. If you need photography or videos you can find my collection here filled with nature photos and videos.

3.Your ‘why’

Why are you posting? To remain active and relevant? To entertain, to educate to simply share a look into your brand or business, to encourage?

Whatever your why, whether deep and meaningful or fun and simple, it can add to your brand and connect with those who are your audience!

If you create post from a heart to share not perform, you won’t feel the pressure that comes with a ‘performance’

I’ve kept this website ad-free so viewing is the best experience. My photos, stories, work and website are an extension of my creativity. I’ve chosen not to add other companies and ads as a source of income.

Thank you for being here! You can browse my digital print collection here. My image branding resource catalogue here. You can make a financial contribution here.

Creating a rhythm or routine online is difficult for those who aren’t the ‘boss babes’ want to be the centre of attention and are outgoing. It’s also okay if this is who you are! But many people who start as artists, and small businesses

The fear of being seen can be real

For me, I love one-on-one conversations and will gladly share my story when talking with someone, but to have an ‘audience’ no thank you.

It can be hard to overcome but just remember that people WANT to know you. It doesn’t have to be your secrets, even vulnerable, and unburdening your life to whoever may come across your page.

Future clients, friends and followers just want to know who they are interacting with!

Stop overthinking and start sharing what you have to offer.
